It’s mid-December and the holiday get-togethers, parties, office gatherings and social events are in full swing. The scents of apple, cinnamon, sugar cookies and vanilla are found passing nearly every shop and restaurant. It’s no wonder we’ve got a sweet tooth and holiday cheer on our minds. But how can we dabble in the Christmas-spirit without unknowingly adding a few numbers on the scale? Balance… of course! The infamous Parisian diet of ‘change your attitude towards food into one that is pleasurable and yet healthy and sustainable’. Some things are easier said than done and I understand how tempting it is to slip up during the holidays, so if the inevitable urge kicks in and you decide to let my balance-suggestion slip out the window, you should be sure to indulge in healthy alternatives to fattening sweets.
Finding this may not always be so easy, so why not make and bring your own #HealthyWithNedi approved treats to your next holiday soiree! I’ve shared two of my go-to holiday recipes below. Your loved ones are sure to leave these yummy treats which are good for you and look just like the real deal!
