Healthy with Nedi’s Tips to Help You Stay Energized All Day Long
- Start each day with 10 minute meditation.
- Go for a 20 minute run, your body will release endorphins. Even a brief jog will leave you feeling clear headed and happy.
- Sip on warm water with lemon and fresh ginger throughout the day. Ginger is one of the best ingredients to help revitalize your body and mind.
- Limit caffeine intake after 12pm. It will help you sleep better and therefore have more energy the next day.
- Skip the sandwich or baked potato for lunch. Focus on eating good sources of protein, fiber and healthy fats. I recommend opting for wild salmon or organic chicken breast with high-fiber lentils and healthy fats from avocado and olive oil.
- If you get hungry throughout the day, munch on a high protein snack, like nuts. Pistachios are an especially low-calorie option.
- If you need to uplift mid-day grab a green juice instead of a coffee or an energy drink.
- Enjoy ginseng tea. As a natural rejuvenator and aphrodisiac, ginseng can help you fight off fatigue.
- Try to get away from your desk and go for a brisk walk outside for 5 minutes, it’s enough to raise your energy. If you can’t step away from the office, take a walk to the bathrooms and back. Moving will get your energy flowing.
- Hold a five minute yoga pose. Even a single pose can be enough to spike up your energy. Try ultransana a.k.a. Camel pose. It invigorates your entire body as it stretches your core, opens your chest and expands your lungs to let in more oxygen.
- Relax into an early evening. Getting into bed early is one of the best ways to rejuvenate. A pre-bed soothing bath with a lavender based shower gel or essential oil will help to calm and relax both your mind and body.
