OK, I LOVE purées! Any kind, any time! When I was a little girl, I always wanted my mom to make me mashed potatoes and I would find myself licking the bowl until nothing was left. Now, I have started experiment with healthier, lower in carbs variations of purées and they are all so unique and tasty. Pea purée is a very nourishing side dish that goes well with grilled fish, chicken or portobello mushrooms.
- 1 bag of frozen peas
- 1 1/2 limes, squeezed
- 2-3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp sea salt
- STEP 1. Boil peas in water for about 15 to 20 minutes.
- STEP 2. Drain and add to a blender or food processor with olive oil, lime and salt.
- STEP 3. Blend until smooth and serve!
