This high-fiber, low-carb porridge will keep you feeling full for a long time. It is packed with 15 grams of fiber and 20 grams protein. This porridge is only 3 grams net carbs and completely sugar free. It is much more nutritious than a regular bowl of oatmeal.
High Fiber Low Carb Porridge
Serves 1
INGREDIENTS
- 2 tbsp ground flaxseeds
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 2 tbsp sunflower seeds
- 2 tbsp hemp seeds
- ¼ cup water
- Pinch of sea salt
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- ¼ tsp cinnamon
Toppings:
- Berries
- Bee Pollen
- Sliced Almonds
- Honey/ Maple Syrup
- Tahini
DIRECTIONS
- STEP 1. In a blender or food processor, combine the flaxseeds, chia seeds, sunflower seeds and hemp seeds. Pulse until they are grounded to flower consistency.
- STEP 2. Heat water in small sauce pan with a pinch of sea salt. Add the seed mixture, nutmeg and cinnamon. Stir until well combines. Add a little more water or coconut milk if mixture is too thick.
- STEP 3. Serve in a bowl and garnish with your favorite toppings.
